Snowbird

by Brooke on June 19, 2007

Saturday evening we headed up to Snowbird to escape the 100 degree weather in the valley. It was beautiful up there!!! We rode on the alpine slide, the kids played in the bouncy house and slide, and we rode the tram to the top of the mountain–11000 ft.

Brandon was really excited. He ran up to the ticket booth and said “I REALLY want to go on the fun slide, so one ticket, please!” He also wanted to climb up and go INTO the booth through the little tiny window. :)

Riding on the ski-lift to get to the top of the alpine slide.

WHEEEEEE!!

Bouncing……

Bouncing……

The tram was so cool. You could see all the way down to the city, it was nearly sunset, so green and pretty. There is still some snow up in the higher elevations. Of course, at this point, my camera ran out of batteries!!

So this nice lady we met offered to take a picture of us at the top. It was quite cold and windy but worth it. At the top there was a payphone, so Brandon pretended to call Grandma Wendy and Grandma Judy. Annie collected some rocks and tossed them all over the tram on the ride back down. :)

Oh man… that makes me so homesick! I love it up there. I can practically smell the trees through the computer screen :)
Lucky!
ps- my mission was unsuccessful. I will try again tommorrow.

You and the fam look GREAT! You’re not helping with the homesickness though…thought I could get over it, then I saw those mountains.

I don’t believe you. You photoshoped yourselves in on top of the mountains. Try better next time!
