Summer

This summer has been pretty busy so far! We’ve done LOTS of fun things just this week alone. Father’s Day was great, I’ll post about that probably on Sunday. Monday night we went on what my family likes to call a “dinner cruise.” Lots of pictures coming from that! Tuesday Brandon spent the whole afternoon with Grandma Wendy and Grandma Yoo-hoo, riding on the train (TRAX) and getting ice cream cones and playing in the fountains at Gateway. Wednesday we had a picnic at the park with a whole bunch of my friends in the neighborhood. In spite of the blustery HOT wind and my raging allergies, we had a great time! :) Yummy food, chatting with friends, good stuff. Then that night we went to Jaden’s summer work party at Boondocks, where we had a BBQ dinner and rode the go-carts and boat thingies that squirted water everywhere, and in the arcade and kiddie playground. The kids, esp. Brandon, had lots of fun there. The funniest thing was when Jaden and Brandon did a motercycle race game and were flying all over the place. I was laughing my guts out. Yesterday we went to the pool with a whole bunch of friends. Even though it was really hot we had an awesome time. The kids played so well and I can actually say that it was pretty relaxing! Again, it was so fun to sit at the side of the pool and chat with the other moms. I didn’t take many pictures at all, I just wanted to enjoy rather than be the papparazi! :) Sometimes it’s good for me to let my camera rest, ha ha.

And in the midst of all the fun and craziness there are days in between where we just laze around. Today is one of those mellow days….it’s nice. We’ve spent a lot of time just snuggling on the couch watching movies together. I’m still in my PJ’s.

So I mentioned that Monday night was the “dinner cruise.” All that means is that we head up to the lake and eat dinner on the boat with my family and just cruise around. It’s one of our favorite things to do in the summer. It was too cold to actually swim or wakeboard or anything, plus the sun was setting, so we just ate and listened to music and had lots of fun. Took tons of pictures. The kids LOVE Grandpa’s boat and splashing their feet in the water. Here are a bunch of pictures from that night. Warning, picture overload!

Ahhhh, relaxation….
Brandon loves to “help” Grandpa drive the boat…
Annie and Grandma’s toes matched! Annie loved splashing.
Little bro Ty and my grandma.
Me and my “little” brother.
Two of my brothers, Tyler and Ryan. Ben is in school in Florida. Miss you! :)
This sunset one was taken by Ry. Nice!
Have a great weekend!

That is so what I need right now. I could use nothing more than a floating boat and a sunset. Heaven! (Oh, and maybe a little cuddling.)
