Moving is fun!!

by Brooke on August 30, 2007

Not really! 😉

I just had a whole post that got deleted….anger…..

We are in a sea of moving boxes and stuff is everywhere. I am so eager to get back to our normal routine.

We closed yesterday on this house, and closed tonight on our new house. There was a bit of a snag on the seller’s end but things should still go as planned. We are moving some stuff tomorrow and then Saturday is when the major exodus will begin!! We are excited about the future but are sad to leave our neighbors and friends who we’ve spent the last 4 1/2 years with. Hopefully we will be able to keep in touch. No, we WILL keep in touch. Gina, are you listening?!?!

I really shouldn’t be here on my computer but…it’ll only take a few minutes, right?!? :) Today we went and did a little pre-mission photoshoot with my baby brother who is leaving for the MTC on Wednesday. We had a fun time hanging out and got some good shots. I can’t believe he’s going to Mongolia, still in shock that he’s leaving so soon…I’ve only had time to edit one picture, it’s one of my favorites, kept it simple. If you look closely, you’ll see the Book of Mormon is in Mongolian!! Very cool. What a handsome guy. :)

Tomorrow our phone and internet are being switched over, so I won’t have it here. Hopefully it’ll be a smooth transition. CROSSING MY FINGERS. I will probably be certifiable (I hate not having the internet. I am a big dork.) but it’ll probably force me to get stuff done. Luckily we are keeping our same phone number. I made a little “We’ve Moving” announcement card thingie with our new address. I’d post it on here because it’s the only digiscrapped thing I’ve made in ages, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to put such obvious personal info and practically invite the sickos to come on over.

Sorry for the rambling…my brain is in about a thousand different places all at once! On that pleasant note, it is good-bye until the sweet internet is hooked up, and I’ll be live from our new house!!! Have a great Labor Day weekend! :)

Good luck with the BIG MOVE!!! I hate the actual moving part, but the new house, I’m sure, will be awesome! I can’t wait to come and see it. Oh, and great picture of Ry!

When I read there was a problem with the seller, my first thought was there was a problem with your buyer. I was going to come in, buy your house, and save the day! Glad it’s all working out and enjoy the new house!
I have some photos of the reunion I’ll post on my blog (eventually) and you can use them if you want. Or I can even email them to you.
Later,
Rachel =)

I can’t believe the time to move is here already. It came up fast. Adam was sad that Brandon wasn’t on his school list. We looked all over for his name until I realized that you guys are moving, so he wouldn’t be going there again. :( Good luck with moving! Enjoy your new house. When you get settled, let’s have a playdate. I’ll come to your new house!

Good Luck with your move!! I hate moving, we have done it only 8 times since we have been married for 8 1/2 years. Hopefully you have a lot of helpers and Elders Quorum movers that can help you move everything quickly. Great picture of your brother too. (I’m still jealous of your picture taking skills) My little brother got home from his mission in March. It’s weird to see younger siblings all grown up!

First off, I hope your move went well without a hitch. Next, HOLY STINK YOUR KIDS ARE ADORABLE! I am such a fan of the Kemp-Margetts mixer! I found your blog through Leslie Miller and I have been dying of laughter reading Brandon and Annie’s darling comments. So precious. It is fun to see how much they are growing up. Speaking of growing up . . . isn’t Ryan 13 years old? Sheesh . . . Mongolia! Great picture by the way. You Margetts and your picture taking skills. I just love you and your families and wanted to let you know! Love, Emily I. McDonough

So, I’m so excited to have stumbled upon your little piece of the web today! Sounds like you are very busy at the moment! Your kids were darling at the reunion, and it was fun to see you for a few minutes. I meant it when I said that we should have a little get together sometime in the near future when you are down here visiting all of the MHS-Lehi transplants! Take care!

This is such a darling blog. I’m a digital scrapbooker too. And your photos (& kids) are darling. My cousin served her mission in Mongolia. What an interesting place it must be! I found your site through Mommy Speech Therapy. I love all your photo inspiration links too. Thanks for the cheer!

this is totally random… but I came across your blog while looking up missionaries in Mongolia and saw your brother’s picture… i just returned from the Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Mission 3 weeks ago, and I’m jealous that he’s there and I’m not! He’s in good hands over there – The Mission President is amazing and the the work over there is out of control. I may have seen him once… his group may have been the one that replaced mine… Let him know I’m rootin’ for him… there’s no better thing he could do in his life than serve the Lord in Mongolia.
