Job Chart Template

by Brooke on January 16, 2008

**Update: I’ve added a new download link because we met the limit on the other one! How fun!
Here is the new link: http://www.4shared.com/file/35242343/602f4f96/Job_Chart_Template–BrookeK.html

There were quite a few of you out there who were interested in making the job chart from my previous post (found HERE) so I decided to make the template available if you are interested and are Photoshop/Digital Scrapbooking “friendly.” :) I’m in a sharing mood!!

You can click on the link below to get to the download page. The zipped file includes the layered TIFF file as well as terms of use and instructions on how to use the template. It’s for personal use only.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments or if you have problems downloading. Have fun!

THANK YOU BROOKE!!I may change it to a “behavior chart” or add that to the list. (We need it around these parts.) I hope you are feeling less grumpy these days. I feel like I am yelling all the time and need to do better too. Thanks for sharing your hard work!

Wow, thanks so much! My little ones are still a little too young, but I will definitely be using this once they get older and can do things on their own! You’re so nice to share! :)

Thank you so much for the download. It is way cute! Maybe I’m bad at this, but when I downloaded the file, I didn’t see a TIFF file. Did I do something wrong? I also just started digital scrapbooking and was wondering how do you print/store your pages? I’ve seen some site that will put your pages into books, but is there a less expensive way (unless that works better)?

Brooke January 18, 2008 at 8:05 pm

To answer “TheGardners” (I don’t know your name!) The TIF file is definitely inside the file, I’ve quadruple checked it! It should have the .tif at the end of the file name. There should be 4 items in the zipped folder when you unzip it.

Printing. I sometimes print my pages out at home but usually I send them to Costco or Sam’s Club. You could use any photo printing place. Then I put them in just a regular ol’ scrapbook album. I’ve been doing the size 8×8 lately because it’s smaller and easier to store. I’ve seen people print theirs in bound books like from winkflash.com or shutterfly.com, so whatever floats your boat. HOpe that helps! :)

Thanks for your quick response. I guess it’s a glitch with the way my computer sees the file. It has it listed as a “Microsoft Office Document Imaging File” instead of a tif. I don’t think I can do the layers, but I think I can make it work for me. Thank you so much! My son will be excited to use this!!

I found this through a friend of mine (Leslie Miller), and I love it. BUT, I’m totally have problems getting it to work. I have Photoshop Elements, and I can’t get the control G to work. So it’s not merging to the squares. So I’m not sure if I’m not doing it correctly or if I can’t do it with Elements. Thanks

Reply

Steph January 22, 2008 at 11:52 am

hey kara. I had the same problem. I had to “Place” the papers and elements that I wanted and then the ctrl G worked just fine.

Reply

Brooke January 22, 2008 at 12:48 pm

Hmmmm, I’m not sure why the Ctrl-G isn’t working for you, Kara. I use Photoshop Elements 4.0 and it works every time for me…..

The only I can think is to keep an eye on your layers palette and make sure the paper is directly on top of the squares, and that the paper layer is “active” or highlighted blue in the layers palette. Does that make sense?

Email me if you need more help.

These are so pretty and fun! Great idea and I love the fact that you left space for a photo of the chore… makes it easy for the younger ones like mine (3) who’s capable of doing chores but can’t quite read yet. Thanks very much for renewing the link too! 😀

Ok, let’s try this again, blogger just ate my last comment.

Thanks so much for the great chart, much more high-tech than the charts I did for my kids, but it will be great for my DGD as she gets older!

I also had to chuckle because I have a friend who calls me Brookie-Wookie :)

So from one Brooke to another, I hope you have a fabulous day!

Thanks so much! These are fantastic! I’m hoping to make one for my daughter today..she’s been misbehaving like crazy and I think it may be due to lack of sctructure lately……we’ve been trying to get a lot accomplished before DH gets deployed next week, and I think its thrown everyone off! Thanks so much!

Hi! Thanks so much for this great freebie!! I downloaded it. I couldn’t use the tiff, but I liked your idea so much, that I made my own job chart for my son using PhotoImpact.
If you like -> it’s on his blog (http://lukasfenner.lu.funpic.de/blog/)!!

Hi Brooke,
I stumbled on this today and am soooo excited. This is exactly what I am looking for. I was able to download it and realized I do not have photoshop elements. I do not know much about digi-scrapbooking, but I am wondering if you might have any tips for how to use this in a different software. I have paintshop pro. If you have any tips I would much appreciate them. I am dying to make these for my girls. you can email me @ jennifer.blackford@comcast.net. Thanks for all your cute ideas!
