Snow galore

by Brooke on January 21, 2008

We have a whole bunch of snow here! This storm is a doozy! It took Jaden one hour to get to work this morning, and we only live about 5 minutes away on normal days. One hour! Holy cow. So he came home for lunch to dig out our driveway–at least a foot of snow there. Of course Brandon helped. :) I had to grab my camera. Luckily little Annie was taking a nap.

Here’s Brandon getting buried by the snowblower our neighbor let Jaden borrow.

I love this picture! You can see the snowflakes in his long eyelashes!

Here’s the closeup:

It’s really not fair how long they are…

Fun in the deep deep snow…
We are kind of still recovering from last week–everyone in my little family (except for me, thank goodness!) got the flu. Started with Jaden, then Brandon (who also got the croup) and then Annie. We’re mostly on the mend. So far I’m okay. Let’s hope that lasts….

It’s nuts! We got 16 new inches today alone! I shoveled our driveway…but still no baby!

I took some fun pics of the kids in the snow today too. It sure looks pretty, but my back and arms are so sore from all the shoveling.

I’m thinking of taking Easton to New Castle! Do you all the way to Draper? My sister-in-law used to teach there and is thinking about going back.

Anyway, fun pictures. Wasn’t the snow crazy today? That close up looks awesome…. great focus and it’s tack sharp! I love the flakes in the lashes too :)

Brandon, remember you are all mine. Or rather all for my dd. I need those lashes in my gene pool.

Great pictures, Brooke. Truly amazing focus and clarity. Hey, where did you get that new font used on your pictures? I love it!

I think “snowflakes that stay on eyelashes” is my new favorite picture of yours!

Cute snow pictures. I love that last one…you can almost feel how cold it is with that little red face of his. I can’t believe it took Jaden an hour to get to work. Crazy!

I have to echo everyone else about Brandon’s eyelashes…whoa! Lucky boy! But with such dashing parents, how could he not be charming! I’m impressed that you take snow pictures, because all of mine are from the inside of the house looking out, and they don’t turn out so great! I know it’s only January, but where is spring?

I can’t believe how much it snowed yesterday! Those are such great pictures and it really isn’t fair how LONG Brandon’s eyelashes are – mine are like 1/4 of that!!:)

not fair to have such long eyelashes…if they come up missing one day, just know that I borrowed them :)

I stumbled across your site from a friend of a friend. I think your pictures are amazing! Would you mind sharing with me what type of lens you use and photo software? I would be so appreciative! I’m just getting started in picture taking. Thanks!
