Girlie Sleepover

by Brooke on March 11, 2008

The end of February (Leap Day, to be exact) me, Julie, Kecia and Mary had a Girls’ Night Out Sleepover Extravaganza. That’s what I’m calling it. Our husbands thought we were weirdos but really I think they were just jealous. :) We spent a few hours shopping the outlets in Park City and just enjoyed time without our children!! It was a great break from motherhood, I think every mom needs a break now and then…..

We got our favorite treats at Wingers (Asphalt Pie and Potato Skins) and were just plain silly staying out late on the town. (I think we left Wingers at like 10:00 pm or some insane hour like that. Ha ha!! Hey, that’s late for us!!) I didn’t take any pictures so thanks girls for sharing yours with me!!

Kecia and I….

Julie and Mary….

After treats we went to my parents’ house (they were out of town) and did a few crafty things and talked and laughed and acted like little kids for a few hours. :) It felt like the olden days when we were in college and had crazy roommates (incidentally, Julie and I were roomies together way back when, and so were Mary and Kecia. Ahh, the memories!).

WHY am I such a dork?!?! That me, the hideous one with the pink headband creation.

Julie and I decided to be a two-headed monster with her nursing cover….

Our elegant, mature, motherly photo. There were more but they are staying in the hidden vaults!!!!!
We stayed up until like 3:30 am, which sounds fun but I paid for it the next day…I was pretty worthless all Saturday. Not smart for a very pregnant girl such as myself. But we had such a great time!! We’ll have to do it again soon. And NOT every Leap Year like one husband suggested…

That looks like so much fun! My friends used to do that for a Christmas party, but in the last few years it has just kind of fizzled out:( I totally miss it!

Those are the best times when you can get silly and act like a silly kid. I love the pictures. I’m jealous of all the giggles and the shopping. So fun!

Oh my goodness, we are SO pretty!?! I’m just glad most of my face is cut off in the “prettiest” one! And, wasn’t it neat to that Susan from Days of Our Lives could make it. Seriously, we had a blast! Thanks again to your darling Mom!!!

Since your baby will be arriving so soon, this girlie sleepover was simply a prep for the first few weeks with a newborn, eh? Bet the night was exceptionally fun. It may be a while before one of those nights happen again…oh wait, you are doing that scrapbooking class end of April. You are such a cute superwoman!!!
