Recent Projects

Since having Haylie, I’ve done a few little projects here and there, it just takes me a lot longer to finish anything. And a lot longer to ever blog about it. Oh well. Here are some things I’ve made the last few months.

Back in April, with a 3 week old baby, I went to a retreat in Park City with Digital Scrapbook Memories and taught a few classes. We had a great time and Haylie was so good! I taught a class using skinny chipboard albums by Maya Road and the new “Family Ties” CD by Digital Scrapbook Memories….and here is my finished project.

I basically did a really simple version of our family’s “story,” with pictures of each of us. Here are the digital versions of the pages of the album.

For Mother’s Day gifts for the grandmas I made a bracket album using the “Just for Mom” kit from GG Digital Designs, with pictures of the kids.

For Father’s Day I made these gift card holders for the dads, using templates and stuff also from GG Digital Designs. It was really easy using the templates!

I also made a few little altered paint cans–those clear plastic ones you can get at Roberts. It was a fun and inexpensive little project. This red one uses Digital Scrapbook Memories products.

This one I made for Brandon’s preschool teacher at the end of the year. I filled it with candy and Brandon wrote a little note inside. I used the same “Just for Mom” kit from GG Digital Designs.

Oh, another gift card holder, using DSM stuff.

One day we did this project with the kids–I got the idea from this site and it was really fun to make! They loved getting messy with the paint. I let them finger paint the canvases and then they put their feet on the canvas to make the impressions. Here are Annie’s and Brandon’s feet. I still need to do Haylie’s hands and feet and Annie’s hands, and they will be hung in their rooms.

Brandon wanted a space clock, so I decided to make one for him. Got the clock supplies at Roberts, then created the space design in photoshop using NitWit Collections kit called “Spaced Out.” Printed it at Costco and used Mod Podge to adhere. Brandon loves it! It looks like the rocket is chasing the alien spaceship. :) And that’s Astronaut Brandon hanging out on Mars.

Alrighty, here are a few scrapbook pages I’ve finished the last few weeks.

Whew, I think that’s all. :) In more digiscrapping-related news, GG Digital Designs is having a Color Challenge–for 4 weeks you can participate and the prize is $30 gift cards for 2 lucky winners! Click HERE for the blog with more info. The contest starts TODAY!

I love all of your projects as always. I need to get going on mine. What size did you make for your cans? I am doing a project in cans, but did not know what size of can to get and the dimensions. Did you just measure around the can and the height of it and go from there?
