Just a few random tidbits.

by Brooke on September 17, 2008

1. People want to know how I put the scroll thingies in my sidebars. Here is a link to the instructions, you have to scroll down and figure out some stuff to make it work: http://tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com/2007/08/add-scrollbars-to-blog-widgets.html

2. Yo Gabba Gabba is psychotic.

3. I helped my mom and grandma make homemade salsa last night. It was fun and hilarious. And I don’t even like salsa.

4. Today I washed the same load of laundry for the third time. Yep, I know how to conserve water.

5. I cannot wait until Season 5 of The Office arrives.

6. I’ve watched the bloopers on the Season 4 DVD probably 5 times. They make me laugh.

7. These look really yummy: http://blissfullydomestic.com/blissful-food/cheesecake-pops/

8. I really want to learn how to sew. And make one of those cute aprons (me and Kirsten have discussed this frequently). Because maybe if I look cute in the kitchen I’ll enjoy cooking more.

9. I don’t really get Facebook but it’s been fun to find friends on there.

10. I’m loving afternoon kindergarten.

11. I got mastitis again last weekend. I really don’t like feeling like a dump truck ran over me, well, who does. People have been so nice and have brought me dinner and yummy treats and sweet phone calls. THANK YOU!! I’m much better now.

12. I find myself singing Backyardigans songs when my kids aren’t around.

13. Jaden took the kids and 2 friends to the State Fair while I was ill last weekend. What a great dad he is A) for taking the kids somewhere fun and B) for taking the kids away from ME (except Haylie of course) so I could enjoy some quietude.

14. I want to die everytime I see a commercial for that new barbie castle friendship horror of a movie. GAG! And no, Ash, I’m not going to let you force me to watch it.

15. I’m also excited for the season premiere of Chuck.

16. I’m loving Joshua Radin’s music. Especially “Today.” Thanks to the Ellen show. I don’t know how to do a music clip here.

17. I think Tivo and DVR are some of the best inventions ever.

18. Sesame Street is cool. I love when they do spoofs of real shows like Law and Order: SVU, Deal or No Deal, Anderson Cooper, CSI, High School Musical, etc. HILARIOUS!!! I am laughing out loud right now as one is playing. This might deserve a post all its own. Ha! Dan Rather-not, Walter Cranky and the ticker!! Meal or No Meal!! Horatio!

19. We got a new sofa and loveseat in the front room. The first time I saw them was when they were delivered. Yes, I let my husband pick out furniture without me there with him. Brave, no? Well I should mention that he did send a terrible pic with his phone that made me a little nervous but I trust the man. We pretty much always agree about furniture. And I love how they look! So kudos to Jaden.

Okay, I think that’s random enough for today. I’ll be back soon!

I LOVE, LOVE your random tidbits! Thanks for sharing. And when DOES The Office start officially? I surely don’t want to miss the season opener. The teasers ads that were on during the Olympics definitely enticed me.

So glad for these random tidbits of info! I was feeling really bad for you this weekend after Julie told me about your mastitis . . . again! Bummer for sure. Jaden is for sure a brave man for taking kids to the fair and picking furniture – way to go Jaden! Glad to get the update from you.

I love that idea of a post. So much to learn in such a little space. Sorry about the dump truck episode. Kudos to Jaden for the fair. I took the kids and we were there for 6.5 hours. It was fun, but not that fun. What were we doing? We should be friends again soon.

You make me laugh! I’m glad you finally updated your blog. Why does it take you so long Brooke? It’s not like you have 3 kids or anything. I’m so busy working 2 days a week I hardly EVER have time!
LOVE YA!

P.S – Could you please make those cheesecake things for me? Thanks!

P.S.S- I would sew you an apron but I sewed through my finger in Jr. High so you might not want me to.

I am with you on Yo Gabba Gabba. I mean who thinks this stuff up? They must high. I am also with you on DVRs. Best invention ever. I never watch live TV and I havn’t seen one annoying political ad this presidential season. Hurray for me!

I enjoyed these tidbits. I wish I would have had time to chat at dance. Maybe next week. Hopefully we will see you guys tonight at soccer. BTW. You are one of my fav people.

I love your random thoughts. Sorry you got the awful “M” again! Want to have an Office Premier party?? Maybe I could make those cheesecake pop things. I’m SO impressed that Jaden picked up furniture without you! Brave woman you are…I want to come see it. How come we can’t ever play any more…oh yeah, dang kindergarten!

I always love checking in on your blog. Your family is so cute, and you are hilarious. Yo Gabba Gabba is psycho, but not as much as In the Night Garden, which my 15 month old watches everyday and will not take a nap or go to bed without it. We’ve resorted to even buying her some of the toys from it…what you will do to please a toddler, right? Anyway, glad to hear you’re better from mastitis, it totally sucks!

Love the scroll-y things! I want them. And your recent comments widget–I might have to steal it, I like it with the title much better.

Sorry you have mastitis again. I hope you’re doing better now though!
