Halloween Costumes 2008

by Brooke on November 4, 2008

So I have a *LOT* of pictures from Halloween this year so I’ll break it up into several posts so it won’t be complete and utter picture overload all at once!! We had a FUN, busy Halloween and got lots of use out of the costumes which was great. So without further ado, here are pics of our costumes of 2008.

*Haylie the ladybug*

It was Haylie’s first Halloween and she was just happy to be here. :) I kind of pulled her costume together from a variety of places–I got the tutu on Etsy and her antennae and wings off a Target ladybug costume on sale (size 4T, so maybe Annie can use that whole costume next year), shoes and outfit from The Children’s Place (an outfit she can wear any day) and then my sweet Grandma (aka Grandma Yoo-Hoo) crocheted her the darling little black beanie!!! I am in love with how it turned out and we think she looked adorable.

*Annie the princess Snow White*

Isn’t she a cute Snow White? Originally going to be Tinkerbelle but the costume fell apart unfortunately, so this was the backup and I think she looks darling. We curled her hair she said “I look so boo-ful.” :) The funniest thing was watching her try to walk around in her red plastic heels, because we all know how non-graceful Annie is. :) And trying to spin and twirl in the same heels. Very entertaining.

*Brandon, aka Spiderman*

Brandon’s costume was by far the easiest–he could put it on all by himself and in 2 seconds he was ready! I think he’s worn it at least 100 times in the last few months. A handsome little spidey.

I took pics of all 3 kids together on Halloween night, I’ll post those later on.
Oh, and Jaden and I did indeed dress up this year, as Ricky and Lucy for a party with our neighborhood friends. Check out my sweet wig. Jaden is playing “air” bongos. Good times.

Yay for Halloween costumes.

So tonight I’m off for a girls night in PC with a group of friends and I’m so excited! Haylie will be coming along for the fun and hopefully we won’t get snowed in. :)
Also, I can’t wait for this election to be OVER. And I am a huge fan of the mail-in ballot–I didn’t even have to wait in any line yesterday except for waiting for 2 seconds behind the car in front of my van while dropping off my ballot at the post office mailbox. :) It is the greatest thing. It definitely will be interesting to see what the results are.

Have a lovely night!

Haylie looks adorable. And way to go with Annie’s hair. That’s the good think about curly hair, Brielle’s won’t hold any curl. I LOVE LOVE the Lucy costume.

Haylie's costume turned out so cute. I love the beanie that your grandma crocheted. You and Jaden look so great as Lucy & Ricky. I wish you would have worn that to Kecia's party…I'm sure tehy were even better in person.

Hope you have a fun getaway…sounds really fun.

Totally love it! Haylie’s red shoes, the tu-tu, the crocheted hat, oooohhhh! Why can’t Halloween be everyday when you have a costume like that? Spidey and Snow White are little cuties too! Not to mention their cuban daddy and red hed mama!

Fab pictures – as usual! The lady bug costume is the cutest ever. I love boy costumes though, you can just throw them on and not worry about hair/makeup/etc! And, I LOVE voting by mail too – for sure the way to go!
