First signs of spring…

by Brooke on February 2, 2009

I was so excited to see this little cutie peeking through the dirt in my flower bed!!

It was somewhat surprising to see GREEN because we just got home from a fun COLD getaway! :) Jaden and I had a delightful weekend at a cabin with some friends, snowmobiling and snowshoeing, eating, laughing….it was gorgeous and felt like a real winter wonderland.

(This IS NOT the cabin we stayed in, ha ha.) But it was so pretty up there and fun to hang out without all the kids (except Haylie came….which was not fun during the night since she had a hard time sleeping there). Anyway, it was good to get out of town for a few days. :)

And it was good to come back home and love the kids. And a bit crazy to come home and see my little first signs of spring in the garden.

I think I’m just about ready for warmer weather now.

Wohoo! Eric was jealous and maybe a little bit mad (ha ha) that this picture wasn’t on my blog. He is out scanning and scraping our soil to be second.

Fun today!!!

I love the green signs of spring too! Since we don’t have much of winter here…we don’t have much of a spring. That’s a bummer. We just have summer and late summer here. 😉 Enjoy your blossoms this spring!

What a fun surprise. I wouldn’t know if we had those…we still have 4 feet of snow in our yard…DANG north facing house. Glad you had a fun getaway. I’m sure your accomodations were a lot more luxurious than what is pictured. Sorry to hear Annie had a rough time sleeping. She can’t be completely perfect, I guess.

You go out and shove that bulb right back in the ground. For the first year ever I don’t want spring coming yet. I want to sell my house first and move into a new one and be able to plant stuff. Bring on the SNOW!!!

Okay. I need a copy of that picture of the barn. Seriously. You are so talented. I am totally framing that in my house.
