Mother’s Day 2010

by Brooke on November 5, 2010

My computer isn’t letting me work on/upload my Halloween pictures tonight (storyofmylife) so I went through some older posts that I’d started but never posted! Hence, “Mother’s Day 2010” right before your eyes! It’s like a time machine.

(Photos from May, thoughts from today)

I look at these pictures and think how much my kids have grown since the photos were taken back in May. It’s crazy. This photo reminds me of how I love being a mom. I love this picture. Motherhood is something I wanted my whole life and I really feel lucky to have the three children Jaden and I have been blessed with. Those little hooligans run me ragged at times (physically and emotionally!!), and even though some days I feel like I’m smack dab in the middle of the looney bin, I cherish motherhood and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I really wouldn’t. I love these kiddos.

And I am thankful for my own mom who is amazing and hilarious and taught me so much of the kind of mom I want (and am trying) to be. So glad I have her.

And so thankful to have a darling and fun mother-in-law who treats me as her own daughter and raised an amazing son that I’m lucky enough to call my husband.

We have fantastic mamas. Who are incredible grandmas that our kids adore. :) We love them!

So today I am remembering how thankful I am for the mothers in my life and for being a mom to Brandon, Annie and Haylie. I feel like I need to appreciate it more and live in the moment and soak up these days of having my kids under my wings because time is flying by at frightening speeds! :)

Sweet post – what a good idea to get pics of your mom and MIL. I should do that!
