Stuff I Like

by Brooke on January 18, 2008

Some of my friends have done this on their blogs and I’ve been wanting to do it too! I feel like I’m doing product endorsements or something…and I’m trying not to make it all about FOOD. :)

So without further ado, these are some of the things that tickle me (in no particular order and definitely not a closed list–just a little handful of my faves):1. My Canon Rebel XTi. She’s one of my babies. We’re together a lot. I’ve given her a break this month. My kids are enjoying her hibernation, I think.

2. Our new toothbrushes. I feel like my own personal dentist when I whip this “machine” out. Some serious brushage going on here. I better not have any cavities this year!! Which leads me to my next love:

3. Snelgroves Mint Chocolate Spray Ice Cream–this stuff is my all-time favorite ice cream. Very specifically Snelgroves. We used to walk to the old Snelgroves parlor from my Grandma’s house and get a scoop. It’s not there anymore. Sad!! I’m just glad Harmon’s sells it, but alas, could not find an official photo on the internet of my lovely Mint Chocolate Spray….It’s WAY prettier than this picture, trust me. I think I’ll go fix me a heaping bowl right now. Good morning to ME.

4. Real Simple Magazine. I really love the organization themed issues. And the ideas for using everyday items in different ways. Just jam packed with enjoyment.

5. Ice Breakers Sours. I’ve only tried the berry blast/raspberry purple one, but they are GOOD in my mouth.

6. Probably one of my most favorite things. A nice tall ice cold glass of milk. Hey, I’m a simple girl. I can’t be without it. I have nightmares of having an empty fridge. I start to panic and get sad when we’re down to a half of a gallon. There must be milk in my fridge AT. ALL. TIMES. And I’m really not kidding.

7. Method products. From Target (which is another of my favorite things). I like the Pink Grapefruit all purpose cleaner. They have cute packaging and I like how they use natural ingredients. Hey, just trying to do my part in the “green” arena. :)

8. Carnation Instant Breakfast. Hmmmm, another staple in my diet. Milk+Carnation=crazy delicious. Jaden’s grandpa worked for Carnation for years, I wish Jaden would’ve inherited a lifetime supply of this stuff. But it’s alright, I just stock up with the big boxes at Costco. I also get sad if we run low on my Carnation. And it has to be the milk chocolate flavor.

9. Ooohh, my new laminator. Which doesn’t actually look like this one, but I love it. I’m such a nerd.

10. For Every Body candles. No picture for this one. It’s a cute store by my house, an outlet store actually, and they have yummy candles sold very inexpensively. I’m still burning my Holiday Wreath one down to the nubbins.

11. JOY Lemon Scent dishsoap. It smells delectable and makes me happy. Even for 5 seconds when I scrub my pots and/or pans with it.

12. Origins “A Perfect World” body cream. Makes even the smelliest B.O. go away. Not that I personally have the smelliest B.O. But the main point is I LOVE THIS STUFF.

13. I drink this year-round, even in the 100 degree summer. Stephen’s Hot Cocoa. I’m very partial to this hot chocolate and try not to pout when I have to drink any other brand. The Mint flavor is good too.
So there is my materialistic product endorsement of the day. Too bad I don’t have any sponsors.

Oooh, I love Target’s Method products, too! I really like the soap. Carnation is a staple at our house too. So glad you can buy it in bulk at Costco. Thanks for the fun read!

These are some of my favorite posts. I read them and then I feel inclined to buy half the stuff on the list. Enablers!

I love Target’s Method Shower Cleaner. We’ve got to get some more, but it worked really well.

I just got my first issue of Real Simple Magazine last week. I don’t know why I didn’t subscribe sooner. I’m in organizer’s heaven!

I’m completely craving chocolate milk or hot chocolate after reading your post. Yummy stuff!

That was really fun to read about. I had to laugh and a few since I heard you talk about them while I was in Utah (MILK, Carnation). I got the milk thing covered, but I need to go get some Carnation, hehehe!!!

Brooke-
So fun to read about what other people have little love affairs with! Especially if some of it is new to you. Thanks for all your good in-site! & I have to say that my camera would be right at the top of my list too! p.s. I found a class that I am taking in Feb. from Nicole Hill.

I’m so glad to know you have a Rebel and loving it. I got the same one back in November and I hope I can start taking pictures as beautiful as yours are! I found an online class that I’m totally excited about–it’s a 12 week course and FREE! http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/cg_display.asp?g=2&seed_id=26022

Good choices! Except, I’m not such a big fan of the Carnation Instant Breakfast…I don’t know why. I feel ashamed to admit that among so many fans.

Ohhhh! Just looking at that glass of milk gives me a stomach-ache! My kids and Mark, however, would certainly agree! Love learning these little things about you! I still think you should eat more for lunch than carnation, especially at 7 months prego! No wonder you’re still tiny!

Let’s just admit it. Chocolate in a form either cold or hot is great! Hmmm… my list would include a feather pillow, Tupperware microwaveable containers called “Rock’N’Serve,” and Grape Jelly Smuckers chapstick.

Brooke, I’m so excited to try some of the things I haven’t. Most of which I nodded and smiled as I read them because you read my mind.
