Princesses on Ice 2008

by Brooke on March 17, 2008

First off, Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Brandon wasn’t so sure about the whole pinching thing when I told him about it this morning before school but I assured him that if he wore green he’d be safe. :) I think we’ll have a green dinner tonight, maybe green pancakes and scrambled eggs or something easy. We shall see.

Lots to blog about but I’ll just take it one day at a time! Last Thursday Annie and I went on a special “date” to the Disney Princesses on Ice with some friends. It was fun to get her all dolled up and I even did the fancy “Rella Hair” as Annie likes to call it. She was really excited!! I was going to wear my maternity Cinderella gown but didn’t want to overdo it. :) Or scare people.

Annie and I before the big show.

Here’s the group down by the ice rink. It was pretty foggy.
{Me, Kecia, Julie, Mary and our daughters.}

This is the only semi-decent picture I could get of Annie. She would not look at me because obviously she didn’t want to miss anything in the show. :) This was her “ooohing and aaaahhing” face. It was fun to watch her smiling and clapping and dancing and pointing–she loved seeing all of the princesses. Especially her #1 girl Cinderella.

Not the best pictures but here’s a taste of the fancy moves of the princes and princesses.

We had such a great time!

We had great seats but it was quite the work out walking up and down them being 37 weeks pregnant!! I got some sympathetic looks. :) Annie wanted to stop at each step to pick up popcorn to eat–luckily none made it to her mouth. Gross!!! Annie kept twirling and dancing out in the hallways and lots of people were commenting on “that cute little princess.” It was really adorable. If she had her way, Annie would’ve stayed for another hour just dancing in the hall. I was ready for bed!! :) She was quite chatty and wired the whole way home (just ask Julie!) and was up until at least 10:30 pm talking in her bed about the princesses. What a fun night.

Oh, and I survived (barely) the big Super Hero birthday party this weekend…will be posting about that big event soon!! I think I’m still recovering from the mayhem! :)

What a great night. I love your pictures. They turned out much better than mine did. Cute, Annie! I can’t belive how wired she was. Note to self: Lock car doors when driving! :)

That was a really cute show. I, for one would have enjoyed seeing you dressed as a pregnant princess. Oh well, maybe next time! (Don’t hurt me for saying that!) I love the picture of you and Annie before the show. Do you have one of those photo tents?

Yeah for you. We attended this same event on Saturday. My little one was all dolled up too. Post to come. I think I took about 100 photos. I was so thrilled with the whole thing. I didn’t want it to end.

I LOVE the photo of you and Annie. You are pregnant? Are you sure? That is the greatest photo. I would love to get a decent one with me and my dd.

So glad you made it up all those steps! I was so sad when Playhouse Disney came to town-the only show was on Sunday. & all of those Playhouse shows are Becks favorite…maybe next time. I love Annie’s ooooh & aaahhh face. Too cute!
