Last weekend Annie’s dance studio put on their annual Children’s Nutcracker performance. It’s a crazy whirlwind of rehearsals and several performances but in the end Annie and her friends had a blast together and did a fabulous job–it was worth it.
While I loved Annie as a Peppermint Stick last year, she had lots of fun being a mouse this year. These are the cutest mice I’ve ever seen. Annie loves taking ballet and tap with several of her best friends from the neighborhood.
During one of the shows Annie got to be the mouse who got shot by the soldier! Of course I panicked and had my camera on the wrong settings so the pics didn’t work out….but at least you get the idea. She did a fabulous job and “died” with such flair! I was proud of her!
Here are some more pics during the Nutcracker….
Brandon and Haylie loved watching Annie perform. They actually did pretty well for the whole thing. But I just have to share my favorite quote of the night: Haylie was watching the Waltz of the Flowers and said “I can do dat. I can twirl.”
So, guess who will be starting ballet next year? We’re going to be quoting that for years to come.
